What is RPX?
Regal Premium Experience (RPX) is a high-end, big-screen Regal Cinemas theatre that shows movies digitally with increased picture quality and surround sound. Films offered in both 2D and 3D formats.

Why is IPIC South Barrington closed?
As a result of the continued challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we made the tough decision to close our Bolingbrook location on December 31, 2021 and not reopen our South Barrington location. Sadly, their popcorn is made with butter, but it won't be “Impossible” (wink wink!) to find a great vegan option here. Honorable mentions include the theater classics like Red Vines, Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, and Swedish Fish.

Standard Seating includes reserved comfortable oversized leather seats. 2.) Premium Plus Seating includes cozy blankets, extra comfortable reserved seats that recline and waiter services at your seat. Which movies are in digital projection? Note that screen sizes vary depending on where you live, but RPX screens are usually 40 feet by 60 feet, while IMAX screens are 52 feet by 70 feet. In other words, RPX screens are typically smaller, but again, these sizes vary on your location, so some could go much larger than those figures.

However, the audio quality of the RPX theater is something to behold. The RPX theater is certainly louder than your average theater auditorium, but the loudness isn't what won me over. The clarity of the sound effects was top notch, and it really helped with my immersion into the film.
